    Description

A beautiful Microscope (Stamped-Spencer Lens Company Buffalo N.Y 1947 - at the base & PAT. DEC 11 1900 on the shaft -back of the stage).  Charles A. Spencer was an American scientific pioneer and inventor, who is widely believed to have developed the first American-made achromatic objective microscope.  He was born in 1813 in Madison Country, NY and died in 1881 (**Source Wikipedia**)
The microscope has good clear optics throughout and it tilts, the eyepiece  tube is the extendable type.  It has square-mechanical stage.  Below the stage is the condenser, a mirror and diaphragm to control the level of light.  Overall the microscope appears to be in good working condition.  All contained in wooden case-great condition with-handle (including key-it does work). It does has some stains on the side.   The microscope shows its age (normal signs of wear) so don't expect it to be brand new.  There is general signs of wear on the box and microscope.  Although in working order it is really being sold as decorative / collector item rather than a scientific instrument.  As far as I know, it has never been cleaned and/or polished.  A BEAUTIFUL SET!!!!
Accessories:  2-Eyepieces (1-MARKED 1 1/2 IN, AND UNMARKED), 4 beautiful Objectives lenses (160MM TUBE 2-330, OIL 1MM.1-12 1.3M NA 160MM TUBE, 1-6 118-DEGREE 160MM TUBE, AND HOM.1MM. 1.8MM.N.A.1.25 95X  )  the first-3 objective lenses labeled "SPENCER LENS CO"  and last one labeled "SPENCER BUFFALO USA"  (ONLY one objective lens does not have a canister -see pictures), and 2-lenses BARREL TYPE marked "MADE IN FRANCE"
    Microscope Features:
    a - Stage: Square type / Mechanical
b - Focusing: Separate coarse & fine adjustment
c - Light Source: Mirror-Adjustable (slides up/down attached to a swinging bar).  It has some small spots and scratches but overall in good condition.
    d - Substage - Condenser with variable-aperture diaphragm (swings in/out)
    e - Revolving Nosepiece
    f -  Base: Horseshoe Type
