    Antique 1/4” brass microscope lens by J. H. Steward c. mid to late 1800’s
    This rare 1/4” brass lens and accompanying brass canister by J. H. Steward are in excellent condition and retain most of their original lacquer, noting typical wear for age. The lens canister is engraved “1/4 in, J. H. Steward, 406 Strand
    ”, and the bottom of the canister is engraved with “1/4 in”.
    Steward began working at 406 The Strand, London in 1852. Please consult the high-resolution images to reference further the cosmetic condition of the item.
