Description
Up for sale is this terrific antique/vintage Keystone Visual Survey Tele-binocular. Keystone serial # 40 VS 688, the Ophthalmic piece was used by eye doctors and medical researchers to test stereoscopic visual acuity. Also used by lay persons , at times, for viewing stereoscopic cards, although this was not the intended use. Made in the 1920's and 1930's, the antique/vintage piece measures about 17 1/2 inches tall. It has its original lamp, although the cord was replaced for safety. The piece is in excellent working and cosmetic condition with just some very minor wear to finish around eyepiece and where cards are held, commensurate and expected with age and use (this is extremely minor and only mentioned for complete accuracy!). A great antique medical device in nice shape!A wonderful addition to any medical, scientific, stereo view or optical instrument collection!
