Lower Devonian
Formation:
Haragan Formation
Location:
Coal County, Oklahoma

Plate is 5 inches across!
This is a fabulous multiple specimen of different Lower Devonian trilobites from Oklahoma. There are two Kettneraspis williamsi and a Huntonia oklahomae tail preserved on the plate. It is very unusual to find trilobites in such close proximity to each other, from any locality, let alone this famous site. The spiny Kettneraspis williamsi trilobites are extremely detailed and
nicely articulated (one looks like it was moulting!). The "fringes" on the free cheeks are easily seen, and the long genal and pleural spines are beautifully exhibited. The Huntonia pygidium is very large for this type - it is larger than both Kettneraspis combined! The impressive arthropods have great natural color and contrast and display extremely well on the large plate - FULLY NATURAL, NO COMPOSITING WHATSOEVER! This is an extremely collectible and displayable multiple trilobite specimen from the Devonian of Oklahoma - quite unique!
