    Antique all brass microscope in excellent condition
    .
    The original lacquer on all the brass is excellent. Shadows you can see are from protective pasta which can be easily removed.
    The microscope is engraved "Ludwig Merker, Wien, No. 8457".
    Merker is a famous and hard to find maker of microscopes.
    All moving pieces move smoothly and easily.
    The microscope measures 11 inches tall at its shortest, 15 inches with eye piece extended.
    The wooden box measures approximately 14" x 8" x 8".
    It appears to be in working condition, though we haven't tried looking at a slide, and the lenses are somewhat dusty.
