    Description

    A RARE, JAPANESE SUIT of ARMOR
    MADE SPECIFICALLY TO DISPLAY FOR THE JAPANESE BOY'S DAY FESTIVAL.
    This suit dates to the
    EDO period, circa 1850
    , making it approx
    170 years old
    , and is in fine condition.
    Boy's Day miniature suit of armor complete with the black lacquered storage box with a gold crest, that also serves as the display stand.
    The suit crafted of paper, textiles, and metal fittings. The face mask and helmet include a very nice dragon prow.
    Displayed is 33" high. The suit is from a private collection.
